This year I have felt absolutely allergic to the clean-girl aesthetic Winter Arc 2025 Rebrandifaction all over social media.
I’m completely over the obsession and compulsion to feel like there’s something I need to fix about myself. I’ve done so much work on myself and I just want to have fun and be silly this year!!!
I gave up on resolutions a long time ago. “New Year, New Me” sounds cute until June rolls around and you wake up at 4am thinking about all the stuff you forgot you promised yourself you’d do.
And vision boards? Okay, admittedly the subject line is a little click bait-y because I do love making a vision board (a stack of magazines and a glue stick hate to see me coming).
My problem with the vision board, however, is that they’re not specific enough. My ADHD brain craves specificity and clarity in order to feel motivated to do something hard. I can cut out pictures of Italian Villas until the cows come home, but without a clear plan to get there??? I’m done feeling powerless!!!!
This year, I’m going a different direction:
✨Bingo Cards for 2025✨
I’ve heard a lot of Internet Chatter about making Bingo Cards this year and my first thought was — okay, hell yeah. Here’s what I love about this idea:
🤏Random, bite-sized wins >>>>
Each square on your bingo card is one small, actionable goal. So instead of an ambiguous goal like "Go to the gym more" I’m putting “Do a pull up” on my Bingo Card. That’s a huge but completely possible thing for me to do at some point this year. Small wins build momentum and make you feel accomplished.
🪁 It’s Flexible
A bunch of smaller, random goals and experiences are much more motivating because I can pursue them based on mood, energy, or what feels most doable at the moment.
🛝 It’s Fun!
Bro, I’m exhausted after 2024, and sometimes you have to gamify your life to keep it interesting. Also, I think we can collectively agree that we need to start having more fun this year.
🌱 Novelty! Variety! Dopamine, oh my!
Bingo cards make me feel inspired to try different things, and 24 little manageable goals that are a mix of creative, personal, and self-care keep it interesting for my ADHD.
✅ It’s Functional and Engaging
Unlike a resolution that you only think about on January 1st or a vision board you forget about until the end of the year, a bingo card is a visual, measurable tool to use throughout the year. What’s more satisfying than ticking something off a list?!
Get in loser, we’re making Bingo Cards!!!
Structure and accountability are IN this year, so I’m hosting a Create Your Bingo Card party on Zoom on Saturday January 11 at 9am PT / 12 pm ET. On this 90-minute virtual event, you'll join a group of likeminded creatives doing this activity together!
I’ll guide you through the entire process of making your card, and you'll leave the session inspired and motivated to gamify your life this year!
You'll receive a customizable Canva template designed by moi, and full instruction on how to build your own (even if you're new to Canva!) There will be independent working time, so you can lock it all down during the event.
No resolutions. No weird pressure. Just a bunch of cool, creative people figuring it out together.
Come hang out, bring your big (and little) ideas, and let’s make 2025 something you’re excited about.
xo, Anna
This is such a cute idea!
